So I had a target to goto a meeting with other like minded
individuals, although this would be a vanilla meeting.
Anyway the deadline was looming where I had to get this
arranged and had a very kind reminder if it wasn't met then I would experience
my very first punishment session - something that I do not want to experience.
I found an event which wasnt too far from me, seemed on
paper to tick the boxes, i.e. nothing too extreme for a meet on my own,
although I was bricking it to say the least.
The meet was last Wednesday and I had been uptight all day
just thinking about it, subconsciously I did put on all black clothes in the
morning - realised hmm that wouldn't be the best idea.
It was to start at 6PM, I got to the venue pretty early and
waited outside for an age, watching people go in etc, then had a walk around
for a bit and got a strong coffee which really didn't do much for me - unlike a
very strong alcoholic drink would have
By this time it was about 6.15PM and after having several
arguments with myself and reaching the decision 'it wont kill me' I walked in,
I had to look for someone dressed in black!, I spotted a few people and I was
about to slowly walk over when I heard a voice saying 'well hello, not seen you
in a while'. OMG the worse possible
scenario just happened, 'the voice' was someone that I had worked with previously,
first panic mode set in - shit were they here for the meet and just recognised
me, or were they here for after work drinks. I panicked and was completely
thrown by this, so after turning a complete beetroot and for once I was lost
for words I had to stand and speak to this person - they kept saying am I ok
which didn't help my paranoia anymore, and eventually I escaped and walked out.
So now - was I just extremely unlucky or did I pick
somewhere which was too risky (not convinced on that), but am just so nervous
now about that which on top of being nervous anyway it was a complete disaster.

So really when it all comes down to it, you still have not attended a meeting or munch!
Stop thinking the world revolves round you, it does not and I suggest find another munch or meet soon.
Wycombe and Barnet are next week, both of which I intend to go to, if that helps.
